About the Team

Ishmael Atanasi | Director & Chairman


An experienced Strategic Finance and Corporate Management professional within the NGO, Public and private sectors. Ishmael is skilled in Financial strategy formulation and implementation, Reporting , Budgeting, Internal Audit, Risk Management & Cash Flow Forecasting, and Managerial Finance. He is a strong finance professional with CIMA and ACCA qualifications as well as an MBA and MSc in Finance.

Ishmael is currently the CEO for GL events South Africa

Edmond Mupfapairi | Director

MIFM, B.Com (Finance) Hons

A dynamis finance professional who is results-oriented and team spirited. Edmond is the founding Partner of Akribos Capital Inc. Private Limited. A stockbroker by profession, he has a wealth of experience in Zimbabwe Capital Markets spanning over 10 years.

Edmond believes in creating opportunities for others and making an impact. He understands the ripple effect of empowerment – lifting one to lift many.

He holds a B. Coms (Hons) majoring in Finance from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). He is a member of the South African Institute of Financial Markets (SAIFM).

Edmond is married to Judith and they have two children.

Melody T. Mabharani | Finance Director

BCOM (Accounting) Hons

She is an Accounting professional with 10 years experience all spent in the security sector. She worked as a book keeper for the Guard Alert Group before joining Securico as an Assistant accountant. Melody holds graduate-ship with the institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She recently graduated with Bcom Hons in Accounting with Great Zimbabwe University.

Tatenda Pedzisai | Dealer

CIM, BCOM (Marketing) Hons

After attaining a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing with the Midrand Graduate Institute (SA), Tatenda served as an Administrator at Akribos Capital Incorporated before joining Crediconnect. Tatenda completed her certificate level with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and she recently attained her Bcom Hons Degree in Marketing Management with the University of Johannesburg.

She enjoys connecting people with solutions they seek and is looking forward to a brighter career full of promise while doing what she loves.

George Wayeni | Operations Manager

Hons in Financial Intelligence

‘Money without Financial Intelligence is money easily gone’. George is a proud holder of Honours Degree in Financial Intelligence with the Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE), Executive Certificate in Risk Management (UZ). He has passion for risk management, aiming to create low risk environment in the financial and investment sector. He started the journey with a research titled; ‘The effectiveness of anti-money laundering regulations in combating money laundering’.

George worked as an Internal Auditor at City of Harare before joining the Microfinance Sector in 2015. He has vast experience in grass roots financial inclusion, developmental finance and risk management.

Chris Ganyaupfu | Business Development Officer

BSC (Economics) Hons

Chris is a seasoned development finance practitioner who believes in hardworking, execution and unlocking business opportunities in Africa. He has wide-ranging experience in credit, group-lending technology, risk management, portfolio management and loan recoveries.

Chris worked for FMC Finance as a branch supervisor for seven years. Prior to joining Crediconnect in March 2020, he was a branch manager for Raysun Capital since October 2018.

Chris holds a Bsc (Hons) Economics from Bindura University of Science Education. He is a certified expert in microfinance by Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Germany. He holds executive certificates in risk management and credit management from University of Zimbabwe.

Tatenda Saungweme | Business Development Officer

Tatenda is a performance driven individual and a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce Business Management Honours Degree with the Midlands State University. She is also a holder of an Executive Certificate in Microfinance with the University of Zimbabwe. She is also studying towards an MBA .Before joining the Crediconnect team Tatenda worked for Kamlish Finance where she worked as a loans officer. She has a passion for empowering people and believes that developmental finance is the springboard for community development.

Sakhile Ncube | Junior Business Development Officer

Bcom (Finance) Hons

Sakile is a proud holder of a Bcom Honours Degree in Finance from the National University of Science and Technology .Sakile has a passion for microfinance finance specifically women empowerment through financial inclusion and will be pursuing a Masters in Developmental Finance. She has worked at Thrive Microfinance and Zibuko Capital respectively where she gained some experience in microfinance .Sakile believes teamwork within an organisation is vital to achieve a common vision.

Faith Runesu | Business Development Officer

Bcom (Banking & Finance) Hons

Faith is a Holder of Honours degree in Banking and Finance from Bindura University of Science Education, she strongly believes that diligence, honesty, thrift, hard work, temperance and purity are the key to success.

Prosper Masiwa | Senior Business Development Officer

A finance architect who has been working in different setups from the marketing fraternity to the Microfinance field. Served at Pellavin Marketing International as an accountant for 3 years. Shared expertise in microfinance with Microcred Micfrofinance for 4 good years. Attaining a Bcom Honors Degree in Finance with NUST has taught him to “think in other terms” , he believes no goal is too high to reach so long as one is determined. A holder of Digital Money certificate with Digital Frontier Institute. Aims to impart knowledge from his experience to promote financial inclusion and enhancing digital finance.

Brighness Mutapiri | Business Development Officer

Brightness is a holder of a BCom Honours Degree in Banking and Finance and is working towards her Master of Commerce Degree in Finance

Brightness has vast experience in Microfinance and client relationship management through working with other microfinance institutions like KCI Microfinance and Inclusive Financial Services where she served as a Business Development officer and Client Services Champion. She is a strong believer in perseverance, hard work, teamwork and transparency in relationships management.

Washington Mbonyeya |Senior Business Development Officer

The test of top champions usually comes during a crisis and the ultimate measure of man is not where he stands in the moments of comfort but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. Washington is a Seasoned Marketer and Strategist who believes that failure and success is in your hand, Innovation and Creativity is a good formula for success in life.

Washington has vast experience in Microfinance and is also an expert in Research and Development. He worked as a Senior Relationship Manager for Masvingo and Manicaland province at Inclusive Financial Services (IFS) Micro Finance before joining Crediconnect Private Limited.

He is a Holder of Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Marketing from Great Zimbabwe University (GZU), Certificate in Debt Collection Management from the Institute of Credit Management in Zimbabwe (ICMZ) and Diploma in Theology from Africa Multination For Christ College (AMFCC) Part time, Zimbabwe. Currently he is studying towards Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership (MBASL) with University of Zimbabwe.

Tendai Munikwa | Junior Business Development Officer

To be part of microfinance service provider is one of my passion, offering life changing products into the hands of low-income earner and small medium enterprises hence alleviating poverty is my calling.

Tendai is a Holder of Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in banking and finance with Bindura University. She previously worked at First Choice Finance as Finance Administrator and later joined Lyno finance working as loans officer before joining Crediconnect Pvt Limited.
